Recurring and subscription billing

Some Zylax services bill on a repeating cycle rather than once. These continue until you cancel in writing.

What bills recurring

  • Hosting. Monthly or annual, depending on your plan.
  • Domain registration. Annual for most extensions, including .com.my and .my.
  • Maintenance plans. Updates, backups, monitoring and a monthly allowance of changes.
  • Software licences. Premium themes, plugins and modules used in your build.
  • Third party services. Email sending, security scanning, backup services.

How you are billed

An invoice is issued ahead of each renewal date so there is time to pay before the period begins. It appears in your portal at crm.zylax.com.my and arrives by email. Pay by Maybank transfer or DuitNow QR using the invoice number as the reference.

Why the amount can change

Renewal pricing follows the underlying provider. Domain registries, hosting providers and software vendors adjust their rates, and several price in foreign currency, so the MYR figure moves with the exchange rate. Any change is visible on the invoice line, and we will tell you in advance where a change is significant.

Keeping track

Your handover document lists every renewable item with its cycle. Put the renewal dates in your own calendar as well, so a missed email does not become a lapsed service.

Consequences of non payment

These are not soft deadlines. An expired domain takes your site and business email offline and can eventually be lost to another registrant. Expired hosting takes the site down. An expired SSL certificate shows a security warning to every visitor. Renewals cannot be backdated.

Changing a plan

Upgrades can usually be applied at any time, with the difference invoiced. Downgrades normally take effect from the next renewal date.

Cancelling

Give written notice before the renewal date. A period already paid for is not normally refunded pro rata. For domains, ask us to transfer the name to your own registrar account so you retain control of it.
