Launch is a milestone, not an ending. Here is what the weeks after go live actually look like.
Immediately at launch
- DNS is repointed and SSL is confirmed working, so visitors get the padlock.
- We run through the site checking pages, forms, mobile layout, and checkout if you sell.
- Analytics and search console are connected so you can see traffic from day one.
- Your sitemap is submitted so search engines can begin indexing.
- Admin access is handed over and we walk you through it.
The settling period
For a short window after launch we expect small items to surface: a typo, an image that needs replacing, a form recipient to adjust. Corrections to what was specified and delivered are handled as part of the project, not billed as new work. Genuinely new requests are quoted separately, and we will say which is which.
Search engine indexing
A new site does not appear in search results overnight. Indexing takes days to weeks, and building ranking takes months of consistent content and links. If you replaced an older site, redirects from old URLs to new ones matter enormously for preserving existing rankings, and we set those up as part of the launch.
Ongoing needs
- Hosting. Free for the first year on most projects, then renewed annually.
- Domain. Renewed every year without exception.
- Maintenance. Updates, backups and monitoring. A site left untouched for a year accumulates real security risk.
- Content. A site that never changes gradually stops performing, both for visitors and in search.
Keep the dates
Note your hosting anniversary and domain expiry in a shared company calendar. Both live in your portal at crm.zylax.com.my as well.
