Quotation validity and what happens when it expires

Every Zylax quotation carries an expiry date, shown near the top of the document and on the quotation record in your portal at crm.zylax.com.my.

Why quotations expire

  • Cost inputs change. Licences, hosting and third party services are repriced by their providers, sometimes in foreign currency.
  • Capacity changes. The production slot assumed when the quotation was prepared is booked by other work over time.
  • Scope drifts. Requirements discussed months ago are rarely still exactly what you want.

Inside the validity period

The pricing, scope and timeline stand as written. Accept online through the portal and we proceed on those terms.

After expiry

The quotation can no longer be accepted. It remains visible in your portal for reference. Ask us to reissue and we will confirm whether the pricing still stands. Often it does, particularly on a short overrun with no change in scope. Where a third party cost has moved, the reissued figure reflects that and we will say which line changed.

If you need more time

Tell us before the expiry date. Extending an active quotation is quick. Reissuing an expired one takes longer because it goes through a fresh review.

Accepting near the deadline

Accepting on the last day is fine, but the production slot is allocated when the deposit clears, not when you accept. If your launch date is tight, allow for the payment to clear.

Changing something before you accept

Do not accept and then ask for changes. Ask first and we reissue with a new reference number. Accepting fixes the scope as written.

Watch the date

Your portal dashboard shows pending quotations with their expiry dates, and reminders are sent as expiry approaches unless you have turned those notifications off.

To extend or reissue a quotation, reply to the quotation email or write to [email protected].
