If you decide to move to another host, we will help you leave cleanly. Your website, your content and your domain belong to you, and a tidy exit is better for everyone than a service that lapses.
What you get
- A full archive of your website files.
- A database export in standard SQL format.
- A list of your current DNS records so the new host can replicate them.
- Details of the PHP version and any server configuration your site depends on.
- Transfer authorisation for any domain we hold on your behalf, including the auth code where the extension uses one.
How to request it
Raise a ticket at crm.zylax.com.my or email [email protected] asking for an export. Confirm who should receive the files, since we only release data to a verified contact on the account. Allow a few working days, more if the site is large.
Settle outstanding invoices first
Any unpaid invoices should be cleared before the handover completes. Domain transfers in particular cannot proceed while a balance is outstanding.
Sequence the move properly
Do not cancel hosting with us on the day you point DNS elsewhere. Let the new host build and test the site first, repoint DNS, verify everything works including forms and email, and only then tell us to close the account. Keep our service running for a short overlap. That overlap is the cheapest insurance available.
Domain transfers
A domain transfer is separate from a hosting move and takes several days at the registry. For .my domains, MYNIC procedures apply and you may be asked for supporting documents again. You can also leave the domain with us and simply change the DNS records to the new host, which is instant by comparison.
After closure
Once an account is closed, data is removed on our normal schedule. Download and verify your archive before you confirm closure. Restoring after removal is not possible.
