Launch day is a controlled process, not a switch we flip when the site looks finished. This is what happens and what we need from you.
Before we schedule the launch
- You have given written sign off on the staging site.
- All content is final, with no placeholder text or images remaining.
- Invoices due before launch are settled.
- Domain and DNS access is confirmed and working.
- Any third party approvals, such as a payment gateway going live, are complete.
What we do on launch day
- Deploy the site to production hosting.
- Point the domain and update DNS records.
- Install and verify the SSL certificate so the site loads over https.
- Set up redirects from old page addresses where an existing site is being replaced, so existing search rankings and bookmarks are preserved.
- Switch payment gateways from test mode to live and run a verification transaction.
- Connect analytics and submit the sitemap to search engines.
- Remove search engine blocking that protected the staging site.
- Confirm forms deliver to the correct live inboxes.
- Take a backup of the launched site.
Timing
We launch during Malaysian business hours so the team is available if something needs attention. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate fully, during which some visitors may still reach the old site. This is normal and outside anyone's control.
What you should do on launch day
Load the site on your own devices and network. Submit a test enquiry. If you sell online, place one real low value order and check it lands correctly in your process.
Business email
Where your email runs on the same domain, we preserve the existing mail records so nothing is interrupted. Confirm you can send and receive after launch.
The first week
Small adjustments are normal once real traffic arrives. Send them on your project thread and we will work through them.
For anything urgent immediately after launch, reply to your project thread or contact [email protected] straight away.
