Most Zylax web and software projects run through the same six phases. Knowing which phase you are in tells you what to expect next and what is expected from you.
1. Discovery and planning
Scope is confirmed against the quotation, the sitemap or module list is agreed, and the content checklist is issued with dates. Output: a written kickoff summary.
2. Design
We design the key templates, usually the homepage plus the main inner page types, rather than every page individually. You review and approve the direction. Development starts from an approved design.
3. Development
The approved design is built into working pages or modules on a staging site. Integrations are wired up. This is normally the longest phase and the quietest one from your side, though we may come back with specific questions.
4. Content population and review
Your content goes into the built templates and staging is handed to you for review. Revision rounds happen here.
5. Testing and pre launch
We test across browsers and devices, check forms and payment flows, review speed and search basics, and run the go live checklist. You test too, because you know your own business processes.
6. Launch and handover
The site goes live on your domain with SSL. You receive admin access, the handover document and any training included on your quotation. The post launch support period begins.
Phases can overlap
Content collection runs alongside design and development rather than waiting for its turn. On larger projects, modules are built and reviewed in sequence rather than all at once.
Where you are now
Your current phase and its milestones are visible on the project page in the portal at crm.zylax.com.my. Each phase ends with an approval, which is what unlocks the next one.
What slows a phase down
Late content stalls phase four. Slow feedback stalls phases two and four. An unpaid milestone invoice pauses whatever comes next. None of these are surprises if they are watched.
If you are unsure which phase your project is in or what is needed from you, reply to your project thread or write to [email protected].
