Content delivery is the part of the project that sits entirely with you, and it is the most common cause of a delayed launch. Treating it as a scheduled task rather than a background one makes the difference.
Your content checklist
At kickoff we issue a checklist listing every piece of content we need, who owns it and when it is due. It is available on your project in the portal at crm.zylax.com.my. Work through it in the order given, which is set by build sequence, not by page importance.
Send in batches, and say so
Do not wait until everything is finished. Send the homepage and main service pages first so we can build and test the important templates. Label each batch clearly and say what is still outstanding.
Final text, not drafts
Anything you send goes onto staging as written. Text marked "to be confirmed" will appear on the review site exactly like that, and someone will report it as a bug. If a section is genuinely unresolved, tell us and we will hold that block.
Formats
- Text in Word or Google Docs, one section per page, headed with the page name.
- Images at full resolution, sensibly named, with a note on where each belongs.
- Logos in vector format.
- Documents you want visitors to download supplied as final PDFs.
Rights and accuracy
Confirm you own or are licensed to use every image. Check prices, phone numbers, addresses and staff names yourself, because we have no way to verify them.
If content is going to be late
Tell us as soon as you know. We can often reorder work so the team stays productive. What we cannot do is absorb a three week content delay without moving the launch date.
If you need help
Copywriting, photography and translation can be arranged as add-ons. Ask before the build starts, because adding them mid project changes both cost and schedule.
